How Sisu Academy is driving our talent strategy: a talk with Group Talent Manager Jason Wynant

What happens when your talents spend most of their time working at client sites? You risk losing touch.

That’s when Jason Wynant comes in the picture. As the Group Talent Manager, his mission is simple yet deeply impactful: keeping talents connected and supported in their career.

“We’re here to make sure our people feel seen, heard and valued, because when they do, they also perform better.”

In an industry where consultants often operate independently, Jason and the Talent Managers act as a lifeline. They spot training needs early, check in when someone’s not feeling their best and make sure every employee has the tools and support to thrive.

So what does it take to build a culture of connection in a decentralized world?

Inside Sisu Academy

At Sisu, staying connected to consultants means more than checking in with them. It’s all about helping them grow in their career.

Sisu Group is home to five different branches (Strand, Catalay, Evertys, Prosource and Ariad), all specializing in their own niche industry and offering their own technical training.

With the launch of Sisu Academy, we give every consultant access to high-quality learning opportunities that are relevant across industries. This fosters continuous development and allows every individual to learn more about specific topics.

“Our different branches were already investing in training,” Jason explains, “but we saw an opportunity to do more and do it more efficiently. Specialized technical sessions per branch (like QA trainings for Strand, our Life Sciences branch) still exist, but now they’re complemented by a broader offering of soft skills available multiple times a year.”

The benefits of Sisu Academy are clear:

  • More scalability and flexibility: Before Sisu Academy, multiple branches were hosting the same trainings once a year. With Sisu Academy now, talents do not have to wait months for a session, they can choose from several dates throughout the year.
  • No one-size-fits-all training: While Sisu Academy provides soft-skill trainings that are broadly applicable, Talent Managers ensure every session is customized to our consultants’ specific roles. This means the trainings are always practical and directly connected to their work.
  • More efficiency: Having a centralized planning at the Sisu level allows us to maximize the same budget by offering more sessions. More sessions = greater reach and more impact.

Sisu Academy: opening again after the summer break

After a short summer break, the Sisu Academy is preparing for its return and the calendar is packed.

“We’re really excited to reopen the Academy,” Jason shares. “There’s a lot coming up and we’ve made sure the sessions are both relevant and impactful.”

Each month until the end of the year, consultants can expect a diverse mix of trainings (Project Management, language courses, emotional intelligence and more). One standout offering is the AI training, which has quickly become one of the most popular sessions

Sisu Academy’s latest AI training, hosted by AI-strategist, David Grunewald.

Hosted in collaboration with an external expert, the AI training demystifies basic tools and techniques, helping consultants understand how to integrate them into their daily work.

“The feedback has been fantastic,” Jason says. “It’s practical, accessible and immediately useful.”

With more frequent sessions and a growing variety of topics, the Academy continues to evolve as a strategic pillar of talent development, making sure learning never feels like a checkbox, but a real opportunity to grow.
